Feature request description

It would be great if up to date binaries were stored in an official repository for podman.

Docker does this and it's very easy to install on any major Linux distribution. Podman should do that same so that users aren't stuck on very outdated releases of podman.

Suggest potential solution

Host a repository for binaries for major Linux distributions like Debian / Ubuntu.

Please build for arm64 too as this is more popular in the server market.

Have you considered any alternatives?

I've built from source before, but it's a giant pain in the ass having to manually build everything and then copy all of the files to multiple machines.

Or https://www.reddit.com/r/podman/comments/1impu1l/updating_podman_on_ubuntu_2404/ or https://www.reddit.com/r/podman/comments/1in6yjh/quadlets_on_ubuntu_which_version/ if Reddit is your thing.

Debian and Ubuntu ship perfectly up to date packages, as well as old ones. Podman is perfectly integrated in those distributions as designed.
