It would be great to have a feature where a text block can be shown before, in between or after a task when collecting data with the Ground Android app.

This was identified as a useful addition for SERVIRs Ghana campaign to provide instructions to data collectors or to show/ read out statements to farmers about what is being done on their fields.

To jump to the next task, one has to press an 'OK' button.

This feature request relates to the Ground platform request google/ground-platform#1991.

Just saw this new implementation in the app:

This is pretty much what we are looking for. If now only it became possible to add such a textbox to your survey with your own text.

We prioritize issues at the monthly product sync. I'll tag for review so it gets discussed.

Nice, thanks! I'd suggest fontsize++ to make the instructions easier to read when in the field. @amegantz for the "Okay" button label.

@amegantz Ok to use "Next" here to proceed instead of "Okay", as in other tasks?

I actually think "OK" is pretty good here. I would assume that most texts survey organizers would put in that textbox were something to be acknowledged and therefore OK'ed. WDYT @jabramowitz5 ?

I don't feel strongly one way or another on "okay" vs "next," so I would lean towards "next" for consistency across tasks.

I can't open Android app at the moment, but if I recall correctly the green/right-side button always has "Next" to get to next task, with one exception of "I agree" for consent agreement at beginning.
