-zap-devel enables stack traces, debug logging, etc. We can turn this on via an environment variable passed to the operator and daemonset. This would be super helpful for debugging.

  • The readme needs updated with a dev section documenting the environment flag and any setup needed
  • Operator, operand, and crds need updated with the flag if necessary
